About Cumulus Presents

Cumulus Presents, Inc., formerly Cumulus Productions, has been producing music festivals and concerts since 1995; the first year of the Sebastopol Celtic Music Festival.  The following year, 1996, saw the beginning of the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival, in the form of a one day Retrospective at Caswell Vineyards.

In 2000, in conjunction with the Sebastopol Community Center, Cumulus initiated Jugalbandi, a music and arts in the schools project.  The name is derived from the give and take period (at times playful) between musicians while playing an Indian raga.

At the beginning of 2002 Cumulus Productions became Cumulus Presents, Inc. Artist representation and management also began as a part of the overall Cumulus focus in 2002.  Currently we represent Rosalie Sorrels and Molly's Revenge. Past artist representation has included Patrick Ball, Kevin Burke, Paddy Keenan, and Paul Kamm & Eleanore MacDonald.

In 2008 Cumulus Presents, Inc. joined forces with Long Valley Events, LLC and Dansun Productions, LLC to form a new entity, Back Roads Productions, LLC. This new partnership will now oversee the annual Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival at Black Oak Ranch, in association with the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, with hopes and plans for it to continue for years to come.

Cloud Moss, founder and president of Cumulus Presents, Inc., has been assisted for many years by Rick Ahern. Cloud is also the founder and director of both the Sebastopol Celtic World Music Festival and the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival.

The mission and goal of Cumulus Presents is to help build community thru the arts. We strive to maintain a focus on all aspects of an event, be it performer, staff, customer, sponsor, volunteer or vendor. We embrace and acknowledge the realization that everyone involved plays an integral part to the experience of the whole; its health, enjoyment and overall well-being.

We have been fortunate to witness over the years the ripple effects of concerted positive efforts and interaction by an ever growing community of folks focusing together on the beauty of the cultural arts experience. We have found that having an outlook that the journey is at least of equal importance to the destination helps to relax the pace and bring focus to many little joys along the way that may otherwise go unnoticed.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events in the near future.
