Sebastopol Celtic World Music Festival

CeltsWithoutKilts

The Sebastopol Community Cultural Center board of directors voted to no longer back the Sebastopol Celtic World Music Festival...after 16 years it appears as if this remarkably rewarding run may be over.

I appreciate the shared expressions of sadness and disappointment that I have received to this point and will continue to explore ways in which this wonderful genre of music can continue to be brought together for the benefit of us all. The current economic state of affairs does not exactly help aid the situation. Should there be any updates of substance I will continue to post them here.

It has taken me a bit of time to post this as the decision back at the end of October came as a bit of a shock and surprise; as there was hope to have one last send-off year or attempt at a new time slot (middle of October).

To all of you that took part in the festival for its many years I would like to express my personal gratitude for helping in the creation of one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences I've had in my years.

With much love and appreciation, All the best, Cheers, Cloud Moss

  • Thanks to Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill for their 16 consecutive years of musical contribution to helping make our event so memorable; as well as to the countless other musicians and volunteers.
  • The Jugalbandi Music and Arts in the Schools project started with the Celtic Festival and was an integral part of the weekend. That program is still in existence.
